The Central Catholic Vikings Hockey Program is excited to announce details for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 tryout process, which will take place in two phases.

Phase 1: Evaluation Skates – May 2025

Phase 1 will consist of three on-ice evaluation sessions in May. During this phase, coaches may also meet with players to provide guidance and outline key areas of emphasis that will be considered when selecting the final roster. These areas include:

• Individual skill development

• Hockey IQ and decision-making

• Fitness level, including strength and speed

• Skating technique and overall athleticism

Players may be asked to participate in multiple sessions on a given day.

Phase 1 Schedule:

Monday, May 12, 2025

• 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Middle School Skate

• 7:10 PM – 8:10 PM: Incoming Freshmen & Rising Sophomores

• 8:20 PM – 9:20 PM: Rising Juniors & Seniors

Tuesday, May 13, 2025

• 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Incoming Freshmen & Rising Sophomores

• 8:10 PM – 9:10 PM: Rising Juniors & Seniors

Sunday, May 18, 2025

• 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Group TBD

• 6:10 PM – 7:10 PM: Group TBD

Phase 2: Summer Skates & Final Tryouts

Phase 2 will continue through the summer with additional team skates. The final round of tryouts will take place in August (exact dates and times to be determined). Final team selections and roster offers will be made at the conclusion of these sessions.
